<title><![CDATA[Low Carbon Essentials: FREE networking event]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>Are you looking to retrofit a property and need help with finance?</p>
<p>Come along and find out from Steven Grimshaw and Andrew Lavender about Kent County Council&rsquo;s award winning &lsquo;No Use Empty&rsquo; programme and the interest free loans which are available to help transform empty properties back to life. &nbsp;Hear how the process works and about renovation projects with investment in sustainable renovation and renewable energy.</p>
<p>This is a networking event, with a presentation followed by a panel style question and answer session. &nbsp;On the panel is Victor Evans of Alternative Energy Solutions who has successfully renovated properties in Dover, with the added investment of installing energy efficient measures.</p>
<p>The event is subsidised by European funds from the Low Carbon Essentials project and the Greenov (Green Renovation Cluster) project and hosted by Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce.</p>

<title><![CDATA[SMART: Unvented hot water]]></title>

	<p><strong>What is the unvented hot water qualification?</strong><br>
		NICEIC Certification operates an Unvented Hot Water Systems certificate of competence, which complies with G3 of the Building Regulations, Approved Document G and is recognised by Competent Person Schemes for both Plumbing and Heating Installation.<br>
		The certificates are valid for a period of 5 years.</p>

	<p><strong>Why do I need to be qualified?</strong><br>
		To install Unvented Hot Water Systems you need to either notify the work via Building Control or be registered to self certify with a Competent Persons Scheme, such as the NICEIC Building Regulations Scheme.
